“Treyarch has crafted a totally unique and face-melting gameplay experience for our loyal Zombies community, with C all of Duty: Black Ops III : Zombies – Shadows of Evil ” Mark Lamia, Studio Head, Treyarch, said in a statement. (Not just another World War II game, but full-blown Weird Fiction.) This is all very cool for a Call of Duty release-so cool, in fact, I'd really love to see Activision put out a full Call of Duty with this setting/time period. You can even eat candy and get special powers, like tentacle arms. It's a bit Lovecraftian actually, with the weird monsters and film-noir setting. Set in a 1940’s film-noir era, Shadows of Evil introduces four unwitting characters – The Magician, The Femme-Fatale, The Cop and The Boxer – into an unraveling experience masterminded by the mysterious Shadow Man. Here's how developer Treyarch describes it:Ĭall of Duty: Black Ops III: Zombies – Shadows of Evil drops players into a recognizable yet terrifyingly unfamiliar world, as they uncover the secrets and challenges laid out for them by a shadowy figure, who holds their fate in his hands. Better still, the zombie mode-titled Shadows of Evil-comes bundled with Black Ops 3 on its November 6th release.
